Phase II: Comprehensive Treatment
Phase ll orthodontic therapy is designed to correct those dental concerns that could not yet be addressed in Phase l, and to achieve tooth alignment and a harmonious bite. Phase ll therapy usually begins when all the adult teeth are in however, in some cases it is preferred to begin treatment at the 'late mixed dentition phase,' before all of the primary teeth ("baby") have been lost. Successful Phase ll treatment requires the use of either upper and lower braces or Invisalign therapy.
